Tell the HR department that using software as the initial resume filter may not be the best plan. I've submitted a resume and heard nothing then, after simply re-formatting my resume, I got a call. On my first day, I shared my story with the HR person.

How startling! Killing 17 people is "out of character". Wouldn't it have been a better news story if killing 17 innocent people was "in character". "Oh yeah, we've always figured he'd be a mass murderer someday. Wicked nice guy though!"

Terrible analogy. I'm thinking the author hasn't ever read the book "The Hunger Games". The Hunger Games are a gladiator style contest where to win, you have to be the sole survivor. Not sure what that has to do with declining wages.

They need to get their story straight. There was a study recently that sensitivity to sodium was a factor in only about 5 percent of people with high blood pressure.
